Council Prays for Ukraine

The NSW Ecumenical Council made of 18 member churches in the State of New South Wales and Canberra were deeply saddened and concerned over the conflict your people are having in your homeland of Ukraine.

The Council has reached out to the Ukraine Catholic Church and the Ukraine Orthodox Church in Sydney offering our prayers, love, and support for her people. In time of suffer-ing and conflict resulting in human suffrage, refugee, and the movement of people, we pray for a Divine work of God to resolve peace and safety for the people of the Ukraine. The Council has also reached out the Jewish Community in Sydney extending our support in solidarity. The Council has issued a pastoral support to the people of Ukraine as it under-stands Ukraine are people of faith and has a multifaith communities living in the Ukraine. We pray for peace and well of your precious people.

The Council will hold a Mid-Lent Prayer for Peace on the 24 March 2022 at 7.00pm-9.00pm at St Demaina & St Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Church in Punchbowl. We would dearly love to extend this invitation to Your Excellency hoping you are able to join us to pray for the people of Ukraine.
