Passing Away of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
The death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is a heartfelt sadness. The NSW Ecumenical Council joins with others all over the world in mourning her passing.
Words will never be enough to express our respect for the exemplary life of the late Queen Elizabeth II. She made a commitment that: “my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.” That commitment was lived out daily and in a myriad of ways for over 70 years.
The Queen devoted her life to the Commonwealth, including Australia. She is model for all Australians in her selfless and devoted service to the community and to the world.
The Council offers our warmest condolences to, and prayers for, the Royal Family
Kind regards
